My journey on the Fat Loss Protocol by Christine Pascoe

This week I’ve asked a Changing Habits customer – Christine Pascoe – to be a guest blogger. I met Christine at one of my speaking events four years ago. I’m sure you’ll enjoy her story….Cyndi. My life changed four years ago when I attended ‘A Day with Cyndi O’Meara’ in Adelaide. Weight gain had been a problem for me since I was a teenager. In my 20’s I started looking at healthy options to control weight. I tried vegetarian, then raw food and juice fasts and was always reading about things relating to health. My weight was always a struggle, but when menopause hit at about 52 my body became more bloated, the weight more difficult to shift and I wasn’t happy with the way I felt or looked. I had reached a point where I just didn’t know what to eat anymore and my clothes were getting tighter and tighter. Then I spend a day with Cyndi and so began my Fat Loss Protocol journey. For me, the protocol has been an amazing experience. Along with the weight loss, pain in the joints of my fingers disappeared, I learnt what foods I can and should not eat, I no longer suffer with painful bloating and I can eat plenty of good food without the fear of putting on weight. I have learnt what foods cause the inflammatory responses to my body and how detrimental this can be. I now understand that, previously, the 2kgs I would put on over a couple of days when eating very little food was inflammation. Whilst on the protocol, after the lethargy during the first few days, I actually felt amazing, I had energy, could see my body shape changing and how the fat was just melting off me.  It wasn’t a struggle for me at all, I was happy and felt different, alive and happy. The online support was informative and helpful too and I am sure without it, this journey wouldn’t have been as easy, and I was gaining a lot of knowledge about health along the way. So today, I am 59, happy, healthy, slim and so much more informed about health and food than before. Keeping my weight off is no longer a struggle. Along with being the most successful weight loss program I have ever done, it has also been the most successful health journey, my food choices are much healthier and the knowledge gained and am still gaining has been invaluable. It hasn’t ended with the weight loss, but set me on a path of discovery for which I am very grateful. Christine Pascoe, Adelaide, South Australia 4 May 2015
