These little cheese and bacon rolls are super yummy served warm, straight from the oven with a generous slathering of grass-fed butter.

Yields1 ServingPrep Time10 minsCook Time1 hr 10 minsTotal Time1 hr 20 minsDifficultyBeginner
1 1/4 cups blanched almond meal
 5 tbsp psyllium husk powder
 2 tsp baking powder
 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
Changing Habits Seaweed Salt and pepper to taste
 3 egg whites
 1 1/4 cups boiling water
 1 cup grated cheese
 3/4 cup diced bacon
1

Preheat the oven to 170C and line a baking tray with baking paper.

2

Mix all the dry ingredients together evenly. Add the egg whites, apple cider vinegar and boiling water to the dry mixture and use a hand beater to combine it evenly. It will be a very sticky dough.

3

Now mix through the grated cheese and diced bacon.

4

Once the dough is ready, oil your hands with a little coconut oil and begin to grab bits of the dough and form 8 dough balls. Place them onto the baking tray and place them in the oven to cook.

5

Cook for 60-70 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. (Please note their colour will be quite dark as a result of the psyllium powder and turmeric powder).

6

Remove them from the oven and serve warm with a generous slathering of grass-fed butter.
