Pumpkin Doughnuts

Whip up a batch of these healthy treats and satisfy those sweet cravings! Made from beautiful, wholefood ingredients.

Ingredients
Doughnuts
 1/4 cup maple syrup
 1/2 cup almond milk
 1 tsp vanilla essence
 1/4 cup melted ghee or butter (save some to grease the doughnut pan)
 2 eggs
 1 cup almond meal
 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
 1/2 tsp baking soda
 1/2 cup mashed cooked pumpkin
Sugar Coating
 2 tbsp melted butter or ghee
Directions

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

In a bowl, whisk all of the wet doughnut ingredients together, but leave a little of the melted butter or ghee for greasing the doughnut pan.

Gradually add all of the dry ingredients for the doughnuts into the wet mixture. Mix well.

Pour the mixture into the greased doughnut pan.

Bake for approximately 20 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl.

Once the doughnuts have cooled, remove them from the pan and place on a wire rack. Brush the doughnuts with a little melted butter/ghee and sprinkle the sugar mix on each side of the doughnuts.
